Sorry, things have been a little quiet on the blog front recently. We’ve been busy getting everything ready for the launch of our very own range of teas; which we’ll be launching towards the middle of next month.
We decided to give our teas their own brand name as ‘Galla Coffee’ doesn’t quite work when it comes to selling teas. So we’ve come up with the name: Handloom Coffee & Tea (we’ve put coffee in there too as we hope to be roasting and selling our own coffee in the not too distant future).
Now I can hear some of you saying “why Handloom?” Well Louth, the town where we’re based, used to be known for cotton trading and traditionally cotton was made by weavers who wove on a handloom. Yes I know it’s a bit of a tenuous link, but some of stories behind the best brand names are too.
We’ve also setting up a separate website for Handloom: www.handloom.co.uk. It’s a bit devoid of content at the moment, but watch this space; we’ll be adding lots of interesting information very soon.
